Old head here
So I just came back to TPK after a long while. I noticed that all of my Pokémon from the old TPK were just gone does that mean there’s no way to recover any of my progress from there or has everyone’s progress reset in the time that I haven’t been active? |

Yep, the tpk most people knew (TPK Green) was kept around for a long time to preserve the nostalgia but the inactivity didn't warrant keeping the server, so everything is gone. Most people play tpk blue now but a more throwback style to tpk is tpk classic which some people also play. ♡
